Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP Facial)

As we age, our bodies collagen and elastin production slow down, we start to see fine lines and wrinkles on our skin. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-invasive treatment that can help improve the appearance, vitality, firmness, elasticity and luminosity of our skin by stimulating the production of collagen. The improvements are noticeable from the first days: less flaccidity, fewer wrinkles and better skin quality.

This treatment can also address:

  • Hyperpigmentation.
  • Fine lines and Wrinkles.
  • Post Inflammatory Erythema.
  • Acne Scars.
  • Skin texture and elasticity.

FAQ:

What is the process of our Plasma Facial?

Our Plasma procedure starts with a HydraFacial. This is to ensure that we work on clean and prepped skin right before starting the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) procedure. Next a medical grade topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure there is no discomfort during the session. Once the anesthetic is active we will proceed to introduce the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) with a micro-needling device creating microchannels for the plasma to be induced into the skin. Some clients may need more than one treatment to achieve the desired result.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments needed to achieve the desired results varies depending on the individual’s skin type, the severity of wrinkles, and their expectation. We recommend a minimum of three sessions.

 When will I see results?

The results of this treatment can be seen shortly a few days after and will continue to improve for 2-3 months. However, some clients may need more than one treatment to achieve the desired result.

What aftereffects can be expected?

Immediately after the procedure, the treated area may be red and swollen, but this will usually go away within a few days. It is essential to use sunscreen as directed to help the healing process and protect the treated area.

AFTERCARE:

Keep the affected area clean with lukewarm water, and do not use alcohol-based cleansers. It is recommended that you do not exercise immediately after treatment as heat, steam, and sweat can exacerbate infection. Wash the face with only lukewarm water the first two days after procedure. Sunscreen protection is to be used every day and reapplied every three hours. Itchiness, tingling, redness or burning sensation and peeling skin can be experienced after a Plasma facial.
